Not much news

We haven't been able to do much at all lately thanks to Mother Nature.  If you didn't know, we got blasted by a winter storm this past Sunday night/Monday morning.  After the snow, we had freezing rain that left us with a layer of ice at least one inch thick.  Of course, it started thawing Tuesday with the sun, but refroze when the temps dropped over night. Wednesday, it thawed a little more, only to refreeze even worse.  There has been no school in the area, but Thursday & Friday, the teachers in the county I teach in had to report.  So I braved the ice & Southern drivers and made it safely to work about 10:15 or so & was there until 4 or so.

Today we decided to go see the first snow on our property.  Needless to say, what was left was beautiful!  I love the way the snow covers the ugly dead grass, etc.  I know it is a pain to drive in, but it is still pretty to me!!  :-)  Since we couldn't do much, we went on a hike and I took some pictures...

We've been working on cleaning out the 2 storage buildings that are on the property this weekend.  One of them is finished and the other one is about 1/3 finished.  There was pretty much a bunch of junk, but we have found a few things that may be useful.  We are up to about 50 cents found LOL  As soon as we get the second building finished and able to lock, we will start hauling stuff over there.

On a side note, we've met one of our next door neighbors.  Knut seems to be a good guy and has already invited us over for dinner.
