We haven't been able to do much at all lately thanks to Mother Nature. If you didn't know, we got blasted by a winter storm this past Sunday night/Monday morning. After the snow, we had freezing rain that left us with a layer of ice at least one inch thick. Of course, it started thawing Tuesday with the sun, but refroze when the temps dropped over night. Wednesday, it thawed a little more, only to refreeze even worse. There has been no school in the area, but Thursday & Friday, the teachers in the county I teach in had to report. So I braved the ice & Southern drivers and made it safely to work about 10:15 or so & was there until 4 or so.
Today we decided to go see the first snow on our property. Needless to say, what was left was beautiful! I love the way the snow covers the ugly dead grass, etc. I know it is a pain to drive in, but it is still pretty to me!! :-) Since we couldn't do much, we went on a hike and I took some pictures...
